My First Locum Assignment!
I'm thrilled to report that my very first locum tenens experience, here at Lake Cumberland Rehab Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky—shoutout Appalachia! It has been everything I imagined and more! The work is totally manageable with an easy census and no calls so far, and I'm even getting paid a great rate of $1,500 a day plus overtime while serving as the temporary Medical Director. The best part is avoiding all the facility drama—I can just focus on my patients, enjoy the nice hotel, and relax, since I'm only here for a week to test the waters.
