Internal Medicine Residency Program

Benefis Health System, is an academic community hospital in Great Falls Montana, seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine physician to join our new residency (2025) as core faculty with the primary responsibility to supervise residents in our Benefis Internal Medicine residency clinic. Position Details: 

  • Teach and precept internal medicine residents in their continuity clinic, creating an effective learning environment with open communication. 

  • Work with the PD and APDs on developing curriculum, mentoring, didactic presentations, in addition to participation in scholarly activities and promotion of resident wellness. 

  • Participate on IM residency program committees (program evaluation and/or clinical competency committees)   

  • Participate in and guide residents on ambulatory quality improvement projects  

  • Teach ambulatory based procedures (joint injection, I&D, WWE, biopsy) 

  • Assist with the residency applicant recruitment process including reviewing applications and conducting interviews. 

Additional Information: 

  • Qualified Internal Medicine candidates should have recent outpatient experience with a strong desire to provide high quality, evidence-based patient care to the future generation of Internal Medicine physicians. Teaching experience is strongly preferred but not required. 

  • This residency program is under the Opti-West Graduate Medical Education Consortium which is affiliated with the Touro University Medical Schools.
